Our gluten free Sourdough starter

The digestibility of our gluten-free and lactose-free sourdough starter.

At La Costa you can enjoy a gluten-free pizza at its highest artisan form. It is prepared with our sourdough starter and it’s totally gluten-free; it was created on the 31st January 2016 by our dedicated pizza maker.

Our fresh dough is a mix of rice, corn and almonds flour and gluten-free sourdough.

We let it rise for at least 24 hours so that the natural leavening makes it light and digestible.

La Costa’s gluten-free sourdough starter is also lactose-free. Just like the celiac disease, the lactose intolerance is everyday more widespread and we wanted our dough to be eaten even by those with this issue.

Eating pizza has to be a pleasure, and it is fair that everyone can enjoy it.
